Chapter 2: Customizing a VI

 

So, how to open you contact help?

 1. The easiest way is press <Ctrl-H> and the window gonna display the contact help.

   

2. What to do next is, Searching the Help and Modifying a Signal. By using the control pallete, you can find the sample compression.

 

 

3. The sample compressing will display double graft as below.

 

 

4. After that, we can Customizing a User Interface from the Block Diagram.


  • On the block diagram, right-click the Mean output of the Sample Compression Express VI and select Create»Numeric Indicator to create a numeric indicator. 
  • A Mean indicator, shown at left, appears on the block diagram.
  • Right-click the Mean output of the Sample Compression Express VI and select Insert Input/Output from the shortcut menu to insert the Enable input.
  • Right-click the Enable input and select Create»Control to create a switch. 
  • Right-click the wire that connects the Sine output of the Simulate Signal Express VI to the Signals input of the Sample Compression.
  • Express VI and select Create»Graph Indicator.
  •  Use the Wiring tool to wire the Mean output of the Sample Compression Express VI to the Sine graph indicator.
  •  And the windows will display as below.

    Chapter 1



    Getting Started with LabVIEW Virtual Instruments

    1. Use DAQ USB 6210 to simulate the input signal generate from an analogue trainer.

    2. Connect the DAQ to your PC's and ensure your PC's communicate with the DAQ.

    3. Use an analogue input (AI) channel, ranging from AI (0-15) as an input to your analogue trainer output.

    4. Generate an output from analogue trainer to simulate an output display of the following:

              I. Triangle with 3Vp-p









    ii. Square with 1.5 Vamp

     

     iii. Sinusoidal with 2.55Vrms
